The Palmer-Cogan Duo

Dr. Kris Palmer and Mr. Dmitriy Cogan are frequent recitalists throughout Northern California, appearing at such venues as the Old First Concerts in San Francisco , Santa Clara University , the San Francisco Community Music Center , Palo Alto Performances Series, the Crocker Museum in Sacramento , and the Haggin Museum in Stockton . The New York Concert Review called their 2001 performance at Carnegie Hall "incisive and expressive...particularly enchanting...with sensuous tone and pace." This year marks their eighth year together exploring a wide range of musical genres from the early French-Baroque to Latin Jazz and Asian folk songs using a variety of instruments: the grand piano, the harpsichord, the modern silver flute, the wood piccolo, and the modern wood flute. Palmer and Cogan present their "American Pioneers" program this October at the Trinity Chamber Concerts in Berkeley, California.
